Homeschooling requires an attitude change.

Let me wax poetic a minute about my homeschooling days.
Twelve years, I was a teacher, hardly qualified but I had the heart
and the call.
I knew it was what God had for us.
God richly blessed us with two high school graduates who went on to graduate from two colleges with honors
Praise.
Homeschooling requires sacrifice.
A dying to self upon the part of the teacher.
How does one set up their life to become a teacher?
One sets up their life with a change of attitude.
How was our classroom different from public or private?
Our school lasted all day and in all places. The attitufe of 9-3 school was absent.
School was not a place, it was a state of mind.
We taught all along the way, at a desk, in the car, around the dinner table, any locale was our schoolhouse.
You don't know a word?
Look it up.
You don't know what osmosis is? Let's find out.
Homeschooling requires a constant attitude of learning.
The natural questions and questioning of a the day requires investigation and answers.
We were always seeking and finding.
The universe was our school and we were blessed.
So, let's break out of the box, school along the way side and develop a constant attitude of learning, something that will bless apart from filling in tests with little black bubbles.
Let's get out our books our computers, travel to the library, museums and anywhere our imagination can take us.
Soar little ones.
Learn and soar.
Blessings await.
